Franklin Anderson Davis, III of Oakland, TN passed away on Tues 11-26-24 at St. Francis Bartlett.

He lived most of his life in the Ellendale/Bartlett area and was a 1968 graduate of Bartlett H.S. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea during the Vietnam War era. While back in the states on leave he married his high school sweetheart, June. Upon discharge he was accepted into the electrical apprentice program and became a journeyman electrician. In the early 1980's he joined the Bartlett Fire Dept. He completed EMT training and retired in the late 1990's as a lieutenant. Shortly afterward he moved to Fayette County to start a landscaping and excavation business until retiring a couple of years ago for health reasons.

Frank leaves behind his wife of 53 years, June Brewer Davis and their son Andy [Franklin A. Davis, IV]. He also leaves his sister, Debbie Lendermon [Ken] of Lakeland and a brother, Alan Davis of Bartlett along with four nieces, two nephews, two great nephews and two great nieces and many extended family members.

He was predeceased by his parents, Franklin A. Davis, Jr., Josephine Berretta Davis and his precious daughter, Christy Diane Davis.

Visitation will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home East on Thursday, December 5th at 1:00 with funeral and graveside services to follow.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to LeBonheur Children's Medical Center, St. Jude or a favorite charity of their choice.
