Fred Emra Allen "Pawpaw" Sr., 92, passed away on December 11, 2020 at his home in Memphis.  He was born in Memphis to George Allen and Madeline Maxwell.

In his younger years he was a Scout Master he was also an Air Force Veteran.

Fred loved to refinish antiques, fish and riding 3 wheelers at his second home in Sardis, MS. He never stopped showing pictures, reading and singing to his adored wife, "Sugar" Joyce Allen. He retired from TVA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Billy Allen Sr. and George Tedrow Allen and one daughter in-law, Jana Allen.

Fred leaves behind to cherish his memories his beloved wife, Joyce; sons, Fred Allen, Jr. and Michael G. Allen (Patti); grandchildren, Andrew Allen, Zach Allen (Lisa), John Austin Allen (Jill) and one favorite grand daughter, Emily Turner (Harold); great-grandchildren, Hailey Samples, Hayden Samples, Cruz Allen, Carter Miller, Neyland Pitcher, Knox Pitcher, Courtany Childers, Mary Turner, Brittany Windham and Eathen Turner; a host of great-great-grandchildren and two very special ones on the way, one brother, Ronnie Maxwell and  many nieces and nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials are sent to: The Dementia Society of America.
