Fred J. Burris, age 88, of Memphis, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023. He was proceeded in death by his; his parents, Lois and Paul Keedy.

Mr. Burris is survived by his sister, Carolyn Fletcher (Keedy) of Gallatin, TN; his children, Paula McLendon (Burris), Linda Andrepont (Burris) and Paul Burris; his grandchildren, Cameron McLendon, Ashley McLendon, Tanner Burris, Gracelyn Burris; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was born March 10, 1935 in Egypt, AR and a longtime resident of Memphis. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years and was stationed in Cape Cod, MA. He was an engineer for AT&T and took early retirement in 1982 due to health issues.

Fred loved his family, his friends, working on cars and anything with a gas engine, watching his kids and grandchildren play sports and their many other activities, and the Memphis Tigers.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25 th , at Forrest Hills East Funeral Home on 2440 Whitten Road. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to St. Jude's Hospital for Children.
