FRED M. JACKSON, 82, of Memphis, went to be with the Lord on January 29, 2012. He was a retired U.S. Army veteran that served during the Vietnam War and then also retired after twenty years in the Civil Service. Mr. Jackson was a family man, and a friend and helpful to all. He is survived by his loving wife of over 58 years, Helen; caregiving son, David, and two sons, Thomas and Paul; three grandchildren, Mike, Patty, Matt; and several great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, February 2 and family will receive friends an hour prior at Forest Hill East Funeral Home. Interment will follow.
