Freddie B. Nichols, 84, of Dickson, TN, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 in Dickson. He was born on July 13, 1927 in Burdette, AR to Braxton Bragg Nichols and Agnes A. Toland. He retired from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers after 36 years. Freddie was a past Worshipful Master of the Stonewall Masonic Lodge # 723 in Memphis and a member of Burns Baptist Church in Dickson. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother E. V. Nichols; and a daughter, Vickie White. He leaves his loving wife of 65 years, Ruby F. Nichols; three daughters, Carolyn (William) Green of Memphis, Kay (Joe) Walker, and Phyllis (Paul) Stallings both of Dickson; his sister, Ruth Burress of Millington; eleven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 12:00 Wednesday at Forest Hill Funeral Home South with interment to follow in Forest Hill Cemetery South.
