Frederick Richard " Fred" Copeland, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.  Mr. Copeland was born in Clearwater, OH.  He attended Toledo Waite School in OH, and then Northside High School in Ft. Wayne, IN.  After high school, he served in the U.S. Marines.  During his working career, he worked for several companies in the automotive industry, including Ford Motor Company (as a District Manager), Mac Tools, and Bear Automotive.  He earned several certificates in training as a mechanic, and also taught classes in the mechanic field.  He also was the owner of Copeland Computer Consultants.   Fred was preceded in death by his parents, George Burton and Gladys Copeland; his step-son, David Allen Loshe; one sister, Helen Egbert; and two brothers, Harry Yonder and Bill Copeland.  He leaves his wife, Karyne Copeland; four children, Karena Wilson (Marty), Dean Kenneth Loshe, Frederick R. "Ricky" Copeland, Jr. and George Burton Copeland, along with 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandsons.   A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 31st, 2019  at Whitten Baptist Church, 6773 Macon Road, Memphis, TN 38128, with visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, service at 2:00 PM, and a reception to immediately follow.  A graveside service with military honors will occur on Thursday, April 18 at 2:00 pm at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery 4000 Forest Hill Irene, Memphis, TN 38125
