Fred Bennett, 95, of Memphis, TN passed away on Wednesday, July 15th 2020. He served in the United States Army and fought in WWII in the South Pacific from 1944-1946. When he returned home to Memphis, he worked for a short period of time at First National Bank. He changed careers and worked in the insurance business for 50 years and also became a real estate realtor for a few years, until he retired. Fred was devoted to the Lord and his church family. He served as a care pastor for Christ The Rock Church for many years, where he was lovingly known by many as "Daddy Fred".  At the time of his death, he was a member of Faith Apostolic Church. He is much loved and will be greatly missed. Fred was preceded in death by his faithful wife of 50 years, Lois Bennett; his father, Fred Bennett; his  mother, Irma Bennett;  his sister, Barbara Bennett; and son, William David Bennett.  He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Nancy Bennett;  his sons, Fred (Valerie) Bennett and Rick (Susan) Bennett; his daughter Ginger Murdoch; his step-son Johnny (Lucy) Long and step-daughter, Severin (James) Garrett.  He is also survived by six grandchildren: Chris (Becky) Bennett, Denise (Jeremy) Horn, Cheryl (Phillip) Wiygul, Ricky (Elizabeth) Bennett, Christina Murdoch, Daniel Murdoch and one step-grandson, John Long.  Fred's great-grandchildren number 16, plus another on the way. His love and spiritual legacy live on.
