Garland Eugene James, 75, went to be with Our Lord, September 17, 2012. He is survived by three children, Don "Eddie" James (Kathy), Debra Cook and Charlie James; one brother, Bob James (Susan); six grandchildren, Billy Cook (Jessica), Chris Cook, John James, Caitlin, James (Brandon), Wendy Winstead (Josh), and Justin Vick; and four great-grandchildren. Mr. James lived a fun-filled life and will be greatly missed by many. He retired from Memphis City Schools. "That whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:15. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, September 20, with services at 1 p.m, Friday, September 21, both at Forest Hill Funeral Home Midtown. Interment will be at Forest Hill Midtown Cemetery.
