Gene Wells, 78, passed away at his home in Memphis, Tennessee on May 4, 2019.  He was a very proud United States Army veteran.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Wells; his parents, Roy and Ruth Wells; one brother, Roy Wells, Jr.; and one sister, Erma Wells.  He is survived by his son, David "Scott" (Joanie) Wells; his precious grand daughter, Shelby Wells of Cordova, Tennessee; and one brother, Phillip (Nancy) Wells of Paris, Tennessee.  Visitation with his family will be on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., with his service on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at 10:00 a.m.  Forest Hill Funeral Home, East 901-382-1000
