Geneva Sue (Miller) Petty, age 87, died of natural causes on November 22, 2017 in Red Banks, MS. Geneva is survived by her husband Richard, daughters Donna and Sheila Wilkerson of Southaven, MS., step-sons Steve and Michael Petty of Red Banks, MS., and her beloved step-grandchildren. We would be remiss not to mention her beloved dog Kobi, who was always by her side - her true companion.
Geneva was born on April 08, 1930 to Jessie and Modenial Miller, in Blue Mountain, MS. She was the youngest of eleven brothers and sisters, whom loved her dearly. She married her first husband Fred Wilkerson, and though she did not graduate from high school, she worked various positions to help provide for her family and retired as a manager from First Tennessee Bank.
Geneva loved life, challenges, a good book, laughter, good shoes, and she never met a stranger. She dearly loved her children, step-children and her many pets she had throughout her life.
Geneva will always be remembered as a forgiving and loving person. She knew Jesus Christ as her Savior and is with Him now along with her parents, siblings, and friends, as well as her many pets she helped to nurture while here on earth.
Geneva''s funeral is scheduled for November 29th, visitation from 9 - 10 with funeral services beginning at 10 a.m. at Forest Hill South. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Geneva''s Life.
