Mrs. Geneva Taper, 67, passed away Friday, September 2, 2016. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, George; one sister, Charsley Brown (Robert); three brothers, David Shaw, Albert (Elaine) Shaw, and Eugene (Ida) Shaw; her niece, Tammetha Taper, who helped take care of her; and her sister-in-law, Dorothy Taper. She was a member of Tabernacle Church of God in Christ. Family and friends will gather to share memories 10 a.m.-12 p.m., Saturday followed by services at 12 p.m., at Forest Hill Funeral Home, Midtown, with interment at New Park Cemetery.
