George Edward Plunk, formerly of Memphis, TN was born in Caruthersville, MO on July 27, 1927 and passed away in Conroe, TX on March 6, 2016 at the age of 88 years. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 64 years, Burma Plunk; son, Bill Plunk; and daughter, Georgana Plunk. George was a longtime member of Cross Roads United Methodist Church, and the owner of Berry's Fashion Cleaners. He has lived with his daughter in Conroe, TX since 2011. He is survived by this daughter, Carolyn Plunk Courtney (Don); seven grandchildren, Maria Plunk Robinson, Ken Plunk, Donna Courtney, Tommy Courtney, Brian Clark, Adam Perry and Grady Perry; and ten great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Relay For Life of Arlington, TN www.relayforlife.org/arlingtontn, or to Cross Roads United Methodist Church, Collierville, TN. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 11am-12pm with funeral services to immediately follow at 12:00 PM, all at Forest Hill Funeral Home, East on Whitten Road.
