George Robert Hutson III
1954 - 2024

Entered Into Eternal Rest Sunday, December 8, 2024. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1954 to George Robert Hutson Jr. and Marzelle Hutson, George spent his life dedicated to his family, his career, and his community.

A proud graduate of Bartlett High School's Class of 1972, George was a third-generation employee of BNSF Railroad, where he devoted 40 years of service. Starting as an electrician and rising to a lead position, George's hard work, leadership, and commitment to excellence earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and community.

George was also a compassionate and active member of the local recovery community. Through his dedication, he touched the lives of countless individuals, offering guidance, encouragement, and hope to those navigating difficult times. His selfless efforts to help others will remain an enduring part of his legacy.

Above all, George cherished his family. He is survived by his two beloved daughters, Ashley Hutson and Holly Norton; his treasured grandchildren, Abigail Griffith and Miles Norton; and his dear sister, Joan Coletta. His unwavering love and support for his family will always be remembered.

George will be remembered for his humor, his generosity, and the kindness he extended to everyone around him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will carry his memory with them always.

A visitation will be held on December 12, 2024, at 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM, at Forrest Hill Midtown on Elvis Presley. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate George's life and honor the incredible man he was.

Rest in peace, George. You will be deeply missed, but the love and memories you gave us will remain in our hearts forever.
