George "Bill" Edward Jeter, 91, of Memphis, TN passed away on July 25, 2023.

Mr. Jeter was born in Ripley, MS to the late, George Richard and Fannie Crawford Jeter.

He served in the US Army for 6 years and retired from Colonial Bakery in Memphis. Bill was a good man. He raised many children that was not his own. Every Sunday morning enjoyed watching several church services on TV.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Jeter, and son, Glenn Jeter, three step-children, Louise, Jerry and Johnny Stone.

Bill leaves two daughters, Carolyn Jeter of Memphis, TN and Paty Gallarno of Memphis, TN; two sons, Jeff Jeter (Valerie) of Cuba, MO, and Ed Jeter (Nikki) of Atoka, TN; one step-son, Jimmy Stone; one sister, Mary Ruth Gattis of Ripley, MS, one brother, Charlie Jeter of Walls, MS; 11 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
