George Walter Rogers, 84, of Memphis, TN went to be with the Lord Monday, June 26, 2017. Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Rogers; mother, Edna Johnson; and father, George Wilkes Rogers. He is survived by his son, Robert Rogers; son, Michael Rogers; and sister, Vivian Worthington. Mr. Rogers served our country in the U.S. Navy. He was an elder at Raleigh United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Frayser-Raleigh Senior Citizen''s Center. A visitation will be held Friday, June 30, 2017 from 12-2 pm with a funeral service to follow at 2:00. All services and interment will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, East on Whitten Road. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Raleigh United Methodist Church c/o The Food Pantry.
