On February 4, 1945, Georgette Walker, affectionately known as "Jazzy," was born in Memphis, TN as the eldest child to Lovie and Marcellous Walker. A very proud grad of BTW High School, Georgette has always been an active participant in this journey called life. From her involvement as a founding member of the Ladies With An Attitude Social Club to her dedication to the St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Georgette has made it her life's mission to impact all those around her on a very personal level.
Thus, it is with great sadness that all who knew and loved her were made aware of her untimely passing on Friday, March 16, 2012.
She is survived by her mother, Lovie Walker; her two brothers, Marcellous Walker Jr. and Melvin Walker; a son, Nicholas Bayne (Leigha); three grand-daughters Taylor Brown, Mykal Bayne, and Riane Bayne; and a host of nieces, a nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
To "Jazzy"
An Eternal Song
May your name, as "jazzy" as it is,
surround you in an eternal dance.
In a place where music captures your heart
and warms your spirit,
Shrouding you in eternal peace,
may the brilliance of your red dress shine forever.
