Georgia Foxx "Joy", 84, of Collierville, TN passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at The Arbors Assisted Living with her family by her side. Joy was a retired bookkeeper with Edmonds Materials and Midsouth. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Lenore Wiggins; daughter Vickie Gwartney; brother Pete Wiggins; sisters Viola Chambers and Barbara Hardy. She is survived by her loving husband, Frank Foxx; daughter Betsy (Chris) Williams of Surf City, NC; son Robert (Paulette) Gwartney of Southaven, MS; brothers Don (Brenda) Wiggins of Germantown, TN; Travis (Marilyn) Wiggins of Memphis, TN; Billy Wiggins of Chattanooga, TN and Lonnie (Gwynn) Wiggins of Little Rock, AR. Joy was blessed to have two beautiful granddaughters, Jennifer (Michael) Cook of Panama City Beach, FL and Sydney Williams of Nashville, TN; two handsome grandsons, Robert (Amanda) Gwartney of Hernando, MS and Christopher Williams of Surf City, NC; and two precious great-grandchildren, Jocelyn Gwartney and Cameron Cook.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 19 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. with service following at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Hill East Funeral Home at 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis, TN. Burial will be at West TN Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
