Gerald D McKenzie, 85, of Memphis, TN, passed through Heaven''s gate on November 28, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Mary Agnes McKenzie; children Gwen Dunn Gresham (Eric), Lynn McKenzie, Lisa Pannell (Mark); grandson Scott Dunn (Jennifer), Jason Dunn (Siobhan); and great grandchildren Andrew, Anna, Haley and Adam Dunn; surviving sibling Shurley McKenzie; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was a retired brick mason, an avid hunter and fisherman and an Army veteran. When you became his friend, you remained a friend for life. His struggle is over, but sweet and loving memories will survive. Visitation will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 1 with a graveside service beginning at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, East. Family would like to extend a "heart felt" thank you to Bentley Browning for his kindness and love as his caregiver.
