GLADYS LAVERNE McGUIRE STEPHENS, passed away August 21, 2012 in Memphis, TN. She was born November 1, 1921. She grew up in the Dyersburg, TN area and was formerly a cosmetologist there. She retired from Baptist Hospital in Memphis, TN as a nurse''s aide. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William McGuire, 12 siblings, and granddaughter, Connie Denise Curtis. She leaves behind two daughters, Loretta Stephens Cameron of Hernando, MS and Sherry Stephens Bowie of Memphis, TN; two granddaughters, Kasia Bowie and Ashley Cameron both of Memphis, TN and many nieces and nephews living in various parts of the United States. The funeral will be Friday, August 24, at 2:00 P.M., with visitation one hour prior, at Forest Hill Funeral Home on Whitten Rd in Memphis, TN.
