Glen Carlos Jordan, 94, died Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Signature Healthcare of Memphis. He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Elma Nellie Leah Moss Jordan. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Childress of Olive Branch; two granddaughters, Melody (Randy) Griffith of Arlington, TN and Melissa Edmondson of Olive Branch MS; five great-grandsons, John Griffith of Memphis, Zachary and Nathanael Watson of Arlington, TN, Jordan and Jeremiah Edmondson of Olive Branch; two great-great grandsons, Jacob Griffith of Memphis and Thomas Watson of Southaven, and extended family. Mr. Jordan retired from Continental Eagle Gin Company in 1995 after more than 55 years. He began his career as a shipping clerk and retired as the Regional Manager. He was a member of Cherry Road Baptist Church in Memphis and lifetime member of Oakville Masonic Lodge. Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 9th at Forest Hill South with visitation starting at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the Forest Hill South Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be sent to St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital or MS Foundation.
