Glenda Fay Ellenburg, 88, passed away at Methodist Hospice Residence on August 22, 2026. She was born on March 19, 1938 in Slate Springs, Mississippi. After graduating from Senatobia High School, she attended Northwest Mississippi Junior College and completed her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Memphis State University. She pursued a career in Library Science at Memphis State and later retired from Rhodes College in Memphis. Glenda enjoyed reading, traveling and being involved in her church. She also had a passion for studying the Bible. Glenda upheld the highest Christian values and was loved by family and by many church friends.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Shaw Ellenburg and Cloyce Vance Ellenburg and her brothers, Carl Wayne Ellenburg (Mary Ann) and Robert Cecil Ellenburg. She is survived by nieces Cindy Wilson (Paul), Marie Hale and nephews Roger Ellenburg (Amy), Scott Ellenburg (Laura), 3 great nieces, 4 great nephews, 3 great -great nephews and 4 great -great nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at River Oaks Reformed Presbyterian Church in Germantown, TN on Saturday, August 29,2026 at 11:00 am followed by a private graveside service for the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the River Oaks Reformed Presbyterian Church in Germantown TN, Samaritan's Purse or Memphis Union Mission.
