Glenda Faye Ward Howington of Walthall, MS, Southaven MS and Memphis, died June 20 at the age of 86 after a long illness. She was predeceased by her husband and best friend of 58 years, L.A. Howington, Jr. She was a retired teacher with the Memphis City Board of Education and taught in the Vocational Education Program. She, along with her husband, enjoyed fishing, gardening, and travel. She leaves a daughter, Jo-Ellen Howington Reed (Walt), a grandson, Joel Collin Roberts (Carrie), and 2 great-grandchildren, Collin and Hana Roberts. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 22 at Forest Hill South with funeral service Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Forest Hill South Cemetery. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the Alzheimer's Association
