Glenn Miller
Sanders
May 4, 1938 — Jul 12, 2026
Dyersburg
Glenn Miller Sanders, age 88, passed away peacefully on July 12th, 2026, at Jackson-Madison county General hospital. A man of quiet strength, boundless energy, and deep faith, Glenn lived a life dedicated to his work, his church, and above all, his family.
Glenn was the definition of a hardworking man. He spent 20 years dedicated to Firestone Tire and Rubber, followed by 15 years at Colonial Rubber, and another 7 years bringing his trademark reliability to the Holiday Inn. Even after a long career, Glenn never truly stopped. He simply redirected that incredible work ethic into what mattered most to him: his role as a loving father and a cherished "G-Daddy."
As a family leader, Glenn made it his life’s mission to ensure that everyone around him was happy, supported, and loved. He found his greatest joy in the simple things—babysitting his grandchildren, watching baseball, and gathering with his family. When he wasn’t with his loved ones, Glenn could almost always be found in church, serving as a pillar of faith for his community and setting a quiet, powerful example for generations to follow.
Glenn is reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Alice Faye McGraw Sanders. His parents, Paul and Mary Sanders. His sisters, Pauline Seaman, Louise Snow, and Antinea McAlister. And his granddaughter, Kayla Ann Sanders.
Those who carry his legacy are his children, Dennis Sanders (Teresa), Derry Sanders (Kathy), And Deanna McNair (Mac). His sister, Barbara Richardson. His grandchildren; Christina Lewsader (Dave), Cari Grissom (Roger), Crystal Taylor (Chase), Christopher Sanders (Heather), Ashley Sanders, and Tiffaney Prater (Jeremy). His Great-Grandchildren; Aaron Lewsader, Evan Lewsader, Anna Wilson, Levi Westmoreland, Parker Westmoreland, Jackson Westmoreland, Marissa Grissom, Emily Grissom, Joshua Grissom, Elizabeth Sanders, Asterra “Terra” Sanders, Travis Shands, Leland Shands, and Grayson Binkley. He is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.
