Goldie Cook, age 84, passed away peacefully on August 10th, 2026. Born on November 14th, 1941, in Trumann, Arkansas, to the late Jess and Versie Halfacre, Goldie was known to all as the most caring person in the world, a devoted mother and grandmother who made it her life's mission to ensure everyone around her was taken care of. She cherished her family deeply and took great joy in spoiling her grandchildren—as well as her beloved six cats and three dogs.

A woman of many warm traditions, Goldie never missed an opportunity to make someone feel special, famously baking custom birthday cakes and crafting homemade fudge that will be dearly missed by all. Full of warmth and playful spirit, she loved giving and receiving hugs and never passed up a chance to pull off a lighthearted prank just to share a good laugh. In her spare time, she found joy in reading, crocheting, sewing, baking, and, above all, spending time with her family.

Goldie was preceded in death by her husband, Welbourne Cook; her sister, Delma Carpenter; and her brothers, Marvin, Charles, and Alvin Halfacre.

She is survived by her loving children, Kathy Owens (Mike), Faye Cox, Eddie Cox Sr. (Melanie), and Jessica Baker; her sister, Helen Cecil and cousin, Sue Bullock: as well as her 10 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren

Goldie's boundless love, infectious laughter, and generous heart made a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She will be missed beyond measure and held forever in our hearts.
