Goldie Young, 82 of Memphis, TN passed away Monday, December 29, 2014 in Houston, TX. He was a member of New Wright''s Chapel Church and retired from Moore & Son, Inc. Mr. Young is survived by his wife of fifty years, Josephine W. Young; daughters, Chalmers Young of Houston, TX, Helen Denton, Shirley Wright, Parfenia Wright all of Memphis and son, Gary G. Young, Jr., also of Memphis; sister, Hattie Perkins of Memphis; seven grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren and two great-great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Eddie and Julia Young. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday, January 9, 2015 at New Wright''s Chapel. Services will be at 12 p.m., Saturday at the church with interment to follow in Forest Hill East Cemetery.
