Gracie Jewell McCoy took her earthly flight to see Jesus on, Saturday April 2, 2022.
Gracie was born to sharecropper parents, John and Gladys Searcy in Alcorn County MS near Rienzi on June 23, 1927. She attended several different schools because they moved a several times. Glenn, MS was her last school and where she graduated in 1945. Her faith was Penacostal from which she never wavered. Wilburn McCoy was her childhood, sweet heart and the love of her life. They married in 1950, then moved to Memphis and each found jobs. She worked as a seamstress and he worked at Plough. Two sons were born to them, Richard Leon McCoy (Linda) and Normen Rudell; also five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great- grandchild.
Gracie was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn in 2007; her parents; also her daughter in- law Roslyn, ( Rudell's wife); her sister, Oma Bain, and her brother, John Aaron Searcy.
Survivors also include, three siblings, Elizabeth Wilcutt (Carl),Bill Searcy and Sarah Minge (Ted).
