Gwendolyn H. Rapp Lee passed away Saturday February 8, 2025 at her brother's residence in Fairhope, AL. at the age of 88, more or less. She was born to W. Raymond and Virgie Downing Hopper on May 19, somewhere near 1936 in Memphis, TN. She was a cheerleader and graduate of South Side High, class of 1953. After attending Emanuel College in Franklin Springs, GA., Gwen began her career in health care at The Memphis Ear-Eye- Nose and Throat Clinic and ended with Dr. Larry Johnson and The Adams Patterson Group.

In the early 60's Gwen met Don Rapp, a retired sailor, and love was in the air. Love and marriage, Don's accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, helping rear their nephew, Harold Ninemires, work, church, and singing filled her life until Don passed away in 1979. Remaining active in First Assembly of God Church allowed her to meet Frank Lee who was also widowed. Gewn and Frank fell in love got married and relocated to Salt Lake City for Frank's work. They soon moved back to Germantown and their beloved First Assembly. Gwen sang in the church and TV choir for many years. Frank passed in 2014 and for the next 11 years Gwen's life centered around Jesus, the church, family, friends, and pets, Hannah, GIGI, and Sophie.

Gwen was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Raymond, sister, Jean Miller, husbands, Don Rapp and Frank Lee.

She is survived by one brother and sister in-law, Marcus and Peggy Hopper, one nephew, Harold Ninemires of Mid-land, TX; a step-son, Brian Lee of Lakeland, and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations are made to the First Assembly of God, 8650 Walnut Grove Cordova, TN 38018 or the charity of your choice.

Visitation will be from 1-2P.M. Friday, February 14, 2025 at Forest Hill Funeral Home, East with service immediately following. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, East.
