Harmon Eugene Barker, 81, formerly of Memphis, Tennessee passed away May18, 2024 at his residence in Iuka, MS. Gene was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force (USAF) serving four (4) years during the Vietnam era. He worked in Sales/Marketing for several companies and also owned/operated several businesses after his time in the USAF.

Gene was born November 1, 1942 in Booneville, MS to Harmon Evans Barker and Mary Charlene Smart Barker who preceded him in death. He leaves behind daughter, Genoyce Barker Cotham (Tommy) of Arlington, TN, brother Larry Barker (Connie) of White House, TN, brother Ken Barker (Kim) of Lebanon, TN, three (3) grandsons (Chase, Gavin, & Camden), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He attended the Presbyterian Church.

Gene loved playing golf and was an avid enthusiast of all sports. He was a fierce competitor in anything he participated in including cards and board games with family members. Gene loved life and was determined to live it 'his way". His smile and laughter will be missed by family, friends and neighbors.

There will be a small graveside service Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 2 pm held at Forest Hill Cemetery East on Whitten Rd, Memphis, TN.
