Obituary

HAROLD WAYNE DENSON. Born March 10th, 1942, Harold Denson passed away July 16th, 2014 after a valiant battle with lymphoma. Affectionately known as "Wanie" in his younger years and "HD" by many, it was "Papa" that he was lovingly called for the last 19 years by his family. Harold graduated from Whitehaven High School in 1960 and began his 4 decade career in the office supply industry, with 35 of those years spent at Meyers Brazell & Associates. His passion for his products earned him numerous awards, including manufacturer''s rep. of the year; yet, it was his enduring smile, affection and genuine interest in the lives of his customers that set him apart. When he was not working, you could find him cruising on his Harleys listening to his tunes or with his golfing buddies at their favorite courses. "Wanie" was joyously reunited with his loving family that preceded him, ("Refus" and "Owie") Reath Moore and Ottis Harold Denson and ("Sassi") Sonja Maria Denson. Papa''s life will live on in his cherished family surviving him: Linda Arnett Denson ("Bobo,") his adoring wife of 36 years, and his daughter, Dee Denson Jacobson, and husband Johnny and their children Sara Jordan, Jake and Sophie, all of Nashville. Harold is also survived by one brother, Jerry O. Denson, and wife Amy and their son Trent of Murfreesboro and his loyal foot soldiers and faithful furry companions, Molly and Trixie. The family will be gathering to celebrate his life on Sunday July 20th from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Memphis Botanic Gardens in Hardin Hall. Memorial gifts can be made to your local humane society, the lymphoma/leukemia society or a charity of your choice
