Harold Edward Posey Sr., 78, of Leachville, passed away Friday, March 13, 2015 at the Phil and Flo Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro Ark.
Harold was born November 21, 1936 in Steele Mo. and graduated from Wardell High School in 1955. He served in the US Army from 1960 to 1966 stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and received several military badges during this time for Parachutist, Marksman, and Driver & Mechanic. After moving to Memphis Tenn., he met and married Eva W. Wells and relocated to Leachville Ark. in 1974. They enjoyed 39 years of marriage before her death in 2003. Harold retired from Wurzburg Brothers Trucking in 2003 after 29 years of service and also owned numerous rental properties in the Leachville area.
Survivors include two sons, Harold E. Posey Jr. of Leachville and Leslie C. Posey of Dallas Tx. His grandchildren; Ashley Medley of Leachville, Shane Posey of Leachville, Lindsey Posey of Wardell Mo., and a host of other family and friends.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, with visitation from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Forest Hill South Chapel, 2545 East Holmes Road, Memphis Tennessee. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery in Memphis: 901-346-3250
