Obituary

Harold Ross 95, of Sparta, TN passed away on August 16, 2021. Preceded in death by loving wife Mary and granddaughter Mylinda Diane Ross. He was born July 7, 1926, in Chaffee, Mo. He joined the Army on January the 19th, 1946, during the World War II. Receiving the Army occupation Medal of Japan while enlisted, Harold volunteered for paratrooper duty.

While on furlough from the army May 4th, 1946, Harold married Mary Lee Myers.  Upon the passing of Mary, they were married 73 years.

Harold attended Mid-south Bible College and served as an associate pastor of Faith Bible Church, in Frayser, TN, under the pastor Roy Gingrich. His love for God's word and God's people was evident throughout his life. His favorite hymn was "To God be the glory" illustrating his proclamation that God deserves all the glory for his life and service. Harold enjoyed Bible study, family times, water skiing, trips to Branson, MO. Vacationing with the bunch, daily trips to McDonald's with Mary to enjoy a McDouble and ice cream.

Harold is survived by his children Linda E Cox (Richard) of Sparta, TN. Tommy D Ross, (Cathy) of Lakeland, TN, Harold Wayne Ross, (Lisa) of Mumford, TN, Eddie Ross (Carolyn) of Bartlett, TN. Eight grandchildren. 16 great grandchildren and one great grandchild. Harold attended Mid-south Bible College and served as an associate pastor of Faith Bible Church of Fraser, Tennessee, under Pastor Roy Gingrich. His love for God's word and helping God's people were evident throughout his life. His favorite hymn was to God be the glory.
