Harold Edward Von Boeckman, 86, of Horn Lake, went home to be with the Lord he loved and faithfully served, on January 12, 2015. He was born in Tuscumbia, AL, and spent most of his life in Horn Lake, MS. He was a graduate of Horn Lake, MS where he lettered in 4 sports, and was inducted recently into the Horn Lake Hall of Fame, and he attended Northwest Junior College. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jane Langford Von Boeckman of 57 years. Harold was a life long member of his church choir; from his love of children, he taught the 2-3 yr old Sunday School class; was Director of Adult 5 S.S. classes, and front door Greeter, introducing himself as "the Church Antique," where he attended for 75 years. He was a 60-yr, 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason. Harold worked for Ford Motor Co.-10 years, I.C. Railroad-3 years, and Kellogg''s Cereal Co. for 29½ years. He was the Kellogg''s Retirees Chaplain for 20 years. During his life, Harold was an encourager, mentor, and rock for his family and multiple generations in his community. He was a great influence to all in which he came in contact. His devotion was to his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, his church, and his family. Even in his last hours, he told everyone around him he was a rich man, being a "Child of the King." A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Harold is survived by his children: Ramona Balducci (Alex) and David Harold Von Boeckman. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Cori Jane Smith, Lane K. Smith II, Konrad R. Von Boeckman (Ashley), Lelia K. Kroth (Kevin), Elana M. Von Boeckman, and Evangelin R. Von Boeckman. Harold is survived by one brother, Robert Von Boeckman, and two sisters, Libby West and Doris Womack, as well as many loved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents: Walter Conrad Von Boeckman and Emma Davis Von Boeckman; six sisters: Novella Patrick, Ruth Terrell, Thelma Roden, Mildred Wallace, Martha Stocks, Kate Shackelford, and one brother: L.C. Von Boeckman. Visitation 5-7 p.m. Thursday, January 15 with service 10 a.m. Friday, both at First Baptist Church of Horn Lake. Burial in New Bethlehem Cemetery, Church Road, Horn Lake. Family requests memorials sent to First Baptist Church of Horn Lake, MS - designated to the Sound System, for the music he dearly loved. Harold had a song for every blessing and situation in life.
