Harry Lofton Green, Sr., 93, died Friday, March 8, 2013 at Methodist University Hospital from complications of Parkinson''s Disease. Mr. Green was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served as a Hospital Corpsman during WWII, notably in the Iwo Jima Campaign. He retired from the Memphis Veterans Administration Hospital in 1978 after 32 years of service. He was predeceased by his father, Harry Green and mother, Clara Green as well as sisters, Madelyn Green and Thelma Gallagher. He was married for 54 years to his wife Mary Sue until her death in 2005. He is survived by daughters, Susan Woods (Terry); Deborah Peel (Robert); son, Harry Green, Jr.; grandson, Chris Woods (Valerie) and two great-grandchildren. He was a member of Forrest Hill Church of Christ. The family will receive friends 1-2 p.m., Monday, prior to a 2 p.m. service, both at: Forest Hill Funeral Home Midtown
