Hattie Rebecca Burse "Becky", 87 went to be with the Lord on October 20, 2014. Becky is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Burse. Survived by cousins: Jack (Mary) Ludy, of Smyrna, TN, Gary (Yvonne) Scurlock, Nashville, TN, Phil (Lesly) Kelly, Mt. Juliet, TN; their sons: Phillip (Brook) Kelly and children, Ian, and Averie, Lavergne, TN and Adam (Mandy) Kelly and children, Caitlin and C.J., Franklin, TN. Becky is a member of First Baptist Church of Lakeland, where she served on the Finance Committee, Wednesday night meals, Fellowship Committee and Founder of the Widow's Might Ministry. Becky had a way of making everyone who entered the doors at FBCL feel welcomed and loved. Becky was a Bank Officer and retiree of NBC. After retirement, she graduated from Cosmetology School and opened her own salon, Berclair Hair Fashions. Becky worked at Berclair Hair until age 83. Becky always gave hugs and also loved a good joke. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her!! Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday, October 24 at Memphis Memory Gardens.
