Hayward Lee Hayes, 91, of Olive Branch, MS passed away on Friday, February 11th, 2022 at his home. He was born on September 28, 1930 to the late Arlie and Laura Hayes in Darden, TN.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Aquila (Tootsie); his sister, Francis Bryant; and his brothers, Thomas and Floyd Hayes.

He was a wonderful provider, husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family and will be greatly missed.

He was a fisherman and an avid gardener who enjoyed sharing his crops with family and friends. He was known for welcoming everyone into his home and treating all as family.

He leaves a daughter, Sherrie Canaday; a son, Kenny Hayes; two granddaughters, Leslie South (Mike), and Lindsey Roberts; two great grandchildren, Maddie and Jase South; and two sisters, Geraldine Story and Arlene Riggs.
