H. D. Terry of Grapevine, TX was born in Abilene, TX on December 18, 1927 to Herman Dewitt and Ima Baldridge Terry. He passed away on September 4, 2016 at the age of 88 years. H.D. is preceded in death by his son, H. David Terry. He is survived by his loving wife of over 66 years, Peggy Johnson Terry; two daughters, Helen Terry Truelson and Sheryl Harbaugh (Steve); daughter-in-law, Debbie Burks Terry; five grandchildren, Erica, Rob, Mike, Helen and Ashley; and three great grandchildren, Wyatt, Michial and Kathrine. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 5-7 PM at Forest Hill Funeral Home East, 2440 Whitten Rd, Memphis, TN. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
