Heather Knudson Rush, 42 years of age, passed away on December 30, 2012 at M.D.Anderson Medical Center in Houston, TX after a long illness. Heather was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and a loving and giving friend. Heather attended Messiah Lutheran Church and School where she was confirmed. She graduated from Frayser High School with honors in 1988. She was an air traffic controller with the FAA for 19 years. She enjoyed her career and her colleagues. She enjoyed outdoor activities and spent many days boating on the Tennessee River with her friends. She is survived by her husband, James Michael Rush; son Austin Chase Rush; daughter Courtney Danielle Rush; father Larry Knudson, mother Charity Mesloh Kndson; sister Laura Leigh Thompson; and brother Scott Allen Knudson. She has nine nephews, one niece and two grand nieces. She was a resident of Fayette County, TN for 16 years. She was beloved and will forever be missed. Visitation will be at 12 noon until service begins at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 12 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home with interment following. "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid" John 14:27.
