Springdale - Helen Anderson, 97, died January 13, 2013. She was born September 17, 1915, in Slate Springs, MS to Walter Hix and Sally McPhail. Helen was married in 1937 to Harvey Garrison Anderson and lived in Memphis for 56 years before moving to Springdale in 1991. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five brothers, and four sisters. She is survived by one brother, Frank McPhail of Hernando, MS; four sons, Harvey Anderson of Kinston, NC, Jim Anderson of Lakeland, TN, David Anderson of Tulsa, OK, and Larry Anderson of Springdale; two daughters, Gwendolyn Warren of Southaven, MS, and Patsy Sugg of Springdale; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Helen was a member of First Baptist Church, Fayetteville, AR. Visitation will be 1-1:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 16, with services to follow at 1:30 p.m. at Forest Hill East Funeral Home.
