Helen I. Porter, 87, of Horn Lake, MS passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at North Delta Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Southaven. Mrs. Porter was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Dewitt Porter, Sr.; two sons: Robert Leroy Porter and Henry Dewitt Porter, Jr.; her parents: Albert Clyde and Addie Marie Deeds; four sisters and four brothers. She leaves her daughter, Lillian Skaggs (Johnny) of Horn Lake; two granddaughters: Rhonda Scully (Randy) of Horn Lake and Master Sgt. Ashley Porter of Brookhaven, MS; two grandsons: Hamilton Porter, Sr. of Olive Branch and Dallas Shane Porter Easterday of California; five great-grandchildren: Kayla Skelton (Buddy) of Potts Camp, MS, Timothy Glover (Kayce) of Lakeland, TN and Hanna Glover of Horn Lake, AJ Berkley and Hamilton Porter, Jr., both of Olive Branch; and four great-great-grandchildren: Abigail, Hunter, Carson and Jaxon. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m., Saturday, May 20 at Forest Hill South with service immediately following. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
