In the early hours of January 15 the angels escorted Helen P. Joyce home to Jesus, joining her husband, Douglas V. Joyce, Sr., her mother, Ruth Pruett, Sister, Rena Lancaster, and brother, Thomas Pruett. She was born December 31, 1928 in Union City, TN. In 1949 she married Douglas Joyce of Humbolt, TN and had two sons, Douglas Joyce, Jr. and Stephen H. Joyce. She raised her two sons while being a very good wife. She also performed secretarial jobs for a law firm, MLGW, and a number of years with St. John's United Methodist Church in Midtown Memphis. She is survived by Douglas Jr. (Leslie Barnings-Joyce); Stephan H. Joyce (Beverly A. Joyce); granddaughter, Melissa J. Roberts, and two great-grandchildren, Alma and Ellene.
