Helen "Jean" Lane, passed away in the care of hospice on October 31, 2019.  She left this life at the age of 90 to be with the love of her life, Jim Lane. Who preceded her in death after 61 years of marriage and was waiting for her in heaven to go ballroom dancing. Jean was born in Nashville, TN and lived in Paris, TN before moving to Memphis in 1972. She was preceded in death by her parents, Escue and Maude Morgan; two brothers, Don Morgan and Dennis Morgan and a son, Steve Lane. She was the matriarch of the family and was called "Mom" by all of us who will truly miss her. She was a long-time member of Raleigh United Methodist Church where she enjoyed many friends and memories. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter Susan Moeschle (John). She was blessed with grandchildren, Danny Moeschle (Teresa), Kim Jackson (Jon), Kristen Moeschle and Dylan Lane (Sarah); four great-grandchildren and two special step-grandchildren. Visitation with her family will be on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, from 1:00~2:00 pm with her funeral service following at 2:00 pm at Forest Hill Funeral Home, East on Whitten Road. 901-382-1000 The family requests in lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation to St. Jude or the charity of your choice.
