Helen Joyce Massey, 84, formerly of Memphis, presently of Whiteville, Hardeman County, TN, went to be with the Lord August 25, 2014. She was a loving wife, mother and dedicated Christian lady. Mrs. Massey was a former member of Raleigh Christian Church and presently a member of First Baptist Church in Whiteville where she served her Lord as a longtime Sunday School teacher, superintendent and choir member. She was preceded in death by a son, Lucky Paul Massey. Mrs. Massey is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Marvin "Buck" Massey; children, Linda (Butch) Bass of Southaven, MS, Marvin (Rose) Massey of Bartlett, James Massey of Whiteville, Mark Massey of Whiteville, Susan (Mac) McCoy of Eads; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, August 26 and service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 27 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home with interment following.
