Helen Wyatt Monfee, 89, of Memphis, TN, was born on January 28, 1925 and went to be with the Lord on February 4, 2014. She was a 62 year member of Wells Station Baptist Church where she served in the WMU, GA leader and choir member. Mrs. Monfee was devoted to her Lord and also her family as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her Godly example of strong faith, service to others and love for her family served as an inspiration to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter O. Wyatt, Sr.; and her son, Walter O. Wyatt, Jr. Mrs. Monfee leaves her husband, James Monfee; son, Carl (Pat) Wyatt; daughter-in-law, Marie Wyatt; sister, Ann Hamil; two grandchildren, Scott (Jennifer) Wyatt, Shannon (John) Gibbs; four great-grandchildren, John and Jessica Gibbs, and Scott and Emma Wyatt. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, February 6 and service will be 10 a.m. Friday, February 7 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home with interment following. The family request any memorials be sent to Wells Station Baptist Church.
