Herman Bowers, 88, passed away on March 24, 2019 in Memphis, TN.  He was retired from the United States Air Force after 22 years, and had retired from the United State Postal Service in the security division.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Mabel Louise Bowers.  Left to cherish and honor his memory are his daughter, Melissa (Mark) Joyner; one sister, Doris Lenga; and a brother, Carl Bowers.  Mr Bowers was blessed with two grandchildren:  Bryan Mark (Aimee) Joyner and Jonathon Cody Joyner; and three great grandchildren:  Kylie, Jason, and Addison Joyner.  Mr. Bowers will be interred at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.  Forest Hill Funeral Home, East 901-382-1000

Mr. Bowers will have his service at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Thursday, April 11,2019 at 10:15 am with full military honors.
