Horace T. Elkins, 82, passed away Monday, November 30, 2020 at his home in Germantown, TN. He was retired from Memphis City Schools. Mr. Elkins was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Ryan Elkins; sister, Betty Lou Davis; and his parents, Walter and Nina Elkins. Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Janet Elkins of Germantown; daughter Christine Elkins Hardin-Williams (Chris) of Olive Branch, MS; son Timothy Ralph Elkins (Patricia) of Myrtle, MS; brother Walter Homer Elkins, Jr. (Holly) of Memphis; brother-in-law Jack Davis of Lenior City, TN; grandchildren, Marissa Edwards (Barry), Jordan Hardin; great grandchildren, Aiden James, Emma Jane Edwards; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Saturday at Forest Hill Funeral Home East. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Forest Hill Funeral Home East Chapel with interment to follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park South. Pallbearers will be Wesley Hardin, Thomas Welshans, Richard Butcher, Dean Butcher, Barry Edwards, and Ted Lee, II. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Mosteller, Jim Osment, Bob Etherton, and Billy Forrester.
