Howard E. Broyles, passed away peacefully at his home in Walls, MS on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. He is preceded in death by his wife Gerry Broyles, his parents Elbert and Mildred Broyles, one grandchild Elizabeth Webb, and a sister, Sandra Bennett of Reston, VA. He is survived by his children, Elisa Webb (John) of Texarkana, TX and Byron Broyles (Stephanie) of Charlotte, NC, 6 grandchildren: Rachel Webb, Daniel Webb, Sarah Shaffer (Aaron), Joel Webb (Megan), Nelson Broyles (Emily) and Miranda Weyrick (Kevin), and 3 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his companion and caregiver, Pat McCullar. Howard graduated from South Side High School in 1949 and joined the Army Reserves shortly after. He was the owner of Broyles Bakery for 36 years and was an active and devoted member of Southaven First Methodist Church where he attended for many years. Howard loved college football and basketball as well as building furniture and learning new facts about the Civil War. Howard will forever be in our hearts and we will miss him more than words can express.
