Hugh M. Armstrong, husband of Blanche Armstrong, passed away Saturday morning, March 22, 2014 at the age of 92. He was born in Lexington, TN on February 4, 1922. Hugh was the only child of Grover Cleveland and Anna Moore Armstrong. He was a dedicated servant of God ministering to many throughout his life. Hugh married Blanche in 1957 and throughout their years together they served their Lord faithfully. He attended Frayser and Bellevue Baptist Churches. Mr. Armstrong was passionate about art and will be remembered by many for his chalk drawings and personalized cards. He is survived by his loving wife, Blanche; daughters, Toni Mason, Cherry Mashburn; son-in-law, Dan; grandchildren, Antionette, Sally, Daniel, Jamie; and great- grandchildren, Morgan, Presli, Jaylen, and Burkeleigh. Visitation will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 29 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home. Graveside service will begin at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill East Cemetery. The family request any memorials be sent to Mid America Seminary.
