Huie W. Powers, 86, of Hernando passed away on July 10, 2015. Mr. Powers was born in Bruce, MS. He received his BS of Agriculture from Mississippi State University and retired after 33 years from the John Deere Company in Memphis. Huie leaves his wife, Yvonne; one daughter, Vicki Boudeau (Tom); three sons: Steve Powers (Libby), Jeff Powers (Louie) and Greg Powers (Celeste); 11 grandchildren: Ashley Woods (Matt), Wade Powers (Allison), Stewart Morrison, Nicole Boudeau, Tamara, Sarah, Caroline and Daniel Powers, Savanna and Cheyenne Bray and Dalton Powers; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, July 13 with service immediately following at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery. The family requests, in lieu of flowers memorials are sent to the Alzheimer''s Association.
