Imogene Hale Bringle (Aunt Gene) was born October 16, 1921 in Monette, Arkansas and passed away December 29, 2021 after 100 active years and after a brief illness.  Gene was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles after 45 years of marriage and her stepson Dwayne.

Gene and Charles met and were married at Speedway Baptist Church in Memphis.  She had worked at Samelson Cigar Company and later retired from Memphis Mental Health Institute.

Gene is survived by two grandsons, Brent (Tammy) and Brad.  She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Barbara Jean McDaniel, George (Linda) Hale, Fred (Beverly) Hale, Philip (Sheri) Hale, Linda (Jim) Glancy,  Jeannie (Ed) Lokay.

Gene loved all her family and took great joy in living.  Family visits and seeing family photos were important to her.  Gene has spent the last several years living at Bellevue Woods and Heartside senior living facilities in Memphis.  She participated in many activities at both locations and had many friends who she enjoyed spending time with.

Memorial services are Saturday January 8 th with visitation to start at 1:00pm and services to follow at 2:00pm.  Location is Forest Hill Funeral Home at 2440 Whitten Rd., Memphis, Tennessee.  Memorial donations may be made to Saint Jude at www.stjude.org .
