Inus Kay Hawkins McMinn, 87, of Memphis, passed away September 10, 2012 at her home. She was born September 11, 1923 in Wynne, Arkansas to Thomas Wesley Kay and Fanny Ophlia Roberts Kay. Inus was preceded in death by her first husband Harold Hawkins in 1952; and husband Paul W. McMinn; four sisters, Iva Taylor, Cecile Dunn, Alice Morgan, Pearlene Payne; four brothers, Olive Kay, Woodrow Kay, Burlon Kay, and Doyle Kay. She leaves a son Donald W. McMinn of Boone, N.C.; a daughter, Barbara (Gilbert) Pierce of Germantown, TN; a sister, Ila Taylor and a brother, James C. Kay both of Wynne, AR; three grandsons, Stephan (Cathy) Pierce, Jeffrey Pierce, and Christopher Pierce, all of Graham, TX; three great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. Inus also leaves numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was an employee at Kellogg for 26 years where she retired. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, at Forest Hill Funeral Home South. Service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday also at Forest Hill Funeral Home South. Interment will follow in Forest Hill South Cemetery. The family requests donations be made in Inus'' name to the American Cancer Society.
